The College of Arts and Sciences offers a minor in psychology, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and Master of Science in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Community Psychology or Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
The minor in psychology provides students with an overview of the psychology field. Students must complete at least 18 credits including General Psychology and five 200-300 level psychology courses. Examples of psychology courses include Research Design and Analysis, Social Psychology, Psychopathology, Sports Psychology, Political Psychology, Psychology of Personality, Child Development Psychology, Consumer Psychology, Psychology of Women, and Psychological Counseling.
The Bachelor of Science in Psychology provides instruction on the major concepts and practices in psychology. Students learn how to conduct experimental research and various psychology topics. Students must complete at least 38 credits. The core courses include Introduction to Psychology, Research and Design Analysis, Advanced Psychological Research, Elementary Statistics, Psychopathology, Social Psychology, Brain and Behavior, Child Development, and Cognitive Psychology. Students must also complete a semester-long internship component in a psychology-related setting.
The Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology provides students with an understanding of how to help organizations across industries use psychological principles to boost efficiency and employee satisfaction. The program requires the completion of 36 credit hours. The required courses include Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Personnel Psychology, Research Methods, Organizational Selection Procedures and Development, Training and Development within Organizations, Organizational Survey Research, Job Analysis and Competency Modeling, Diversity and Cross-Cultural Issues with Organizations, and Applied Practicum.
The evening hybrid Master of Science in Applied Psychology teaches students how to apply the science of human behavior to develop solutions to actual real-world issues. The program features a scientist-practitioner model that provides students a solid foundation in psychology and use the knowledge and skills to practical situations. The program requires the completion of at least 38 credit hours for both concentrations. The core courses include Foundations of Applied Psychology, Foundations of Psychological Science, Developmental Issues Across the Life Span, Identifying and Managing Psychopathology in Community Settings, Applied Research Methods and Statistics, Individual Psychological Assessment and Appraisal, and Program Development and Evaluation. The Community Psychology concentration prepares students for careers in academic settings, nonprofit agencies, community organizations, social service agencies, hospitals, and counseling centers. The courses include Foundations of Community Psychology, Theories of Counseling and Personality, Counseling Methods and Techniques, and Community Health Psychology. The Industrial and Organizational Psychology concentration prepares students for careers in human resource management, organizational management, training and development, and workforce performance management. The courses include Personnel Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Job Analysis, Competency Modeling and Criterion Development, and Employee Training and Development. For both concentrations, students must complete a capstone and comprehensive examination.

Federal Work-Study
The Federal Work-Study program is a federally funded option that is offered to students who show financial need.
